Luv 'n Texas

This quilt will bring out the Texan in you, wherever you are! You’ll be saying things like "Ya’ll come back, now, ya hear!" and "Bless your pea-pickin’ little heart." in no time. Designed by Jan Holder & Joan Orear, a local Texan, Luv ’n Texas, pays a beautiful homage to our great state with its’ elegant hand embroidered pictorials, including the Alamo, a beautiful yellow rose, a windmill, and many of the Texas icons we have come to recognize, and love. Ladies of the Sea

Ladies of the Sea, an awe-inspiring quilt, is designed by Sue Garman. Each block features a historical vessel appliqued in beautiful detail. It can be either machine or hand appliqued according to your preference and skill. It takes something pretty amazing to frame these ships, but this stunning floral and mariner’s compass border really does the job wonderfully. The finished quilt measures 87"sq.

Dear Jane 2009

Want to make a Dear Jane quilt but find yourself intimidated with fabric selection? Find yourself struggling to figure out how to put the patterns found in the Dear Jane book together? This program is for you! Each month you will receive fabric AND INSTRUCTION for 10 quilt blocks. One of the difficulties with Dear Jane quilt is finding the right technique. With our quilt program, a suggested technique and instruction will be provided for each quilt block. Let us know if you need the book (sold separately and required).

Since this quilt has 224 quilt blocks it is a 24-month quilt program and will include border triangle blocks as well as the interior blocks. If you would like paper-piecing options, we recommend the Dear Jane CD where you have patterns available easily. Start your own group or perhaps join in an Internet group. Warning: Dear Jane is addicting! Begin at your own risk! :-)

Block of the Month Quilt Program & Club Policy:

When you register for our block-of-the-month quilt programs, it is understood that you are registering for the entire program. We will abide by this policy and prepare a kit for you each month with the understanding that you will remain in the program for the duration.

We understand, however, that things happen. If something happens that causes you to need to cancel, please let us know right away! Our $25 “start fee” is applied so that we may offer you the quilt at a reasonable monthly fee without a large lump-sum payment at the end for borders, binding, etc. Should you need to cancel before the program is over, however, it is not refundable.

Afraid of mistakes? Our store is unique in that if you should make a small mistake on a particular piece of fabric you can call and request a replacement. We are happy to accommodate when fabric is available provided this policy is not abused. If you make a large mistake we usually have extra fabric available for you to purchase at a small price. Please just call and discuss it with us!
