Quilts of Valor Sew-In
We had a wonderful time last year during our Quilts of Valor Sew-In. It was very successful, and we had several finished quilts. At the request of our customers, we are going to have another Sew-In to help support our men and women of the military. With help from the Quilts of Valor Foundation, we will do just that.

The Quilts of Valor Foundation distributes quilts to wounded and injured service members and veterans. But someone has to make the quilts, and that is where we come in. On Friday, September 10th, we will host a day for anyone to come in the store, and use our classroom and its' amenities (including coffee!) to "sew" your support.

Quilts of Valor FoundationSo, get plenty of rest, grab your patterns, scraps, and sewing machine, and meet us here in the classroom. We will open our classroom for all who would like to come in. We have several local quilters who have volunteered their time to quilt the tops, and Stitchin' Heaven will make sure that all quilts are forwarded on to the Quilts of Valor Foundation to be given out to our military heroes.

If you would like more information on the QOV Foundation, visit their website at www.qovf.org

Please call us toll free at 800-841-3901 if you would like to join.

On The Lighter Side

Ok! Here's a few Real Estate One-Liners especially for Niki!
Congratulations on your new home!

Housebroke--What you are after buying a house.

The trouble with owning a home is that no matter where you sit, you're looking at something you should be doing.

The sellers told me their house was near the water. It was in the basement.

If you think no one cares you're alive, miss a couple of house payments.

If you want to know exactly where the property line is, just watch the neighbor cut the grass.

Home is where the mortgage is.

The best part of a real estate bargain is the neighbor.

Home: A place you go where they have to take you in.

Home Sweet Home PicA Modern home is a place where a switch controls everything but the kids, and it has gadgets to do everything except make the payments.

House problem: The oven is self-cleaning, but the kids aren't.

Homesickness: What you feel every month when the mortgage is due.

and finally ... Our new house has one down payment and 240 darn payments.

Until we meet again may your days be "pieceful",
