Stitchin’ Heaven University is designed with the education of quilting enthusiasts as priority.

Our Objective: to offer fun and educational classes, to inspire and stimulate creativity, and to reward you for finishing!

Class Ticket: Our Class Ticket is sold semi-annually and offers the ticket holder unlimited classes for 6 months with no additional class fees, exclucing only our special engagement classes.

The Academic Bonus Plan is designed to encourage you to complete your class projects, and not only get them posted in the gallery for all to see and be inspired, but also to reward you for your good work because of your dedication to learning the beautiful art of quilting.

How it works: The Academic Bonus Plan runs from September through August. Any classes taken during this time are eligible for consideration. On the 3rd Thursday of each month (Sassy Sew Day) bring the finished project to the store where it will be “graded” by a Stitchin’ Heaven employee. If it is graded as complete (quilted with binding), a Certificate of Completion will be awarded and we'll get your picture to be posted on our Wall of Fame.

Projects will be assigned credits for the class and also for the fabric that is purchased from Stitchin’ Heaven to complete the project. Credits are assigned according to the difficulty level of the project as well as the amount of fabric the project takes to complete. The credit assigned to each class will be posted with the class information both online and on our monthly class calendar. The first number will be the number of credits for taking the class and the 2nd number will be the number of credits for purchasing your fabric at Stitchin’ Heaven.

Have fabric in your stash that you previously purchased at Stitchin’ Heaven you want to use? This is perfectly fine. We will use the honor system along with the records from our store with this but certainly you should feel free to use this fabric on current class projects.

Took a class in 2011 but did not quite get it finished in time? That’s ok! Beginning with our 2011 school year we will also begin considering projects finished in the previous year. So, when you finish a project you have taken from a class at Stitchin’ Heaven last year, still bring it to us and let us grade it. You can still receive credits for taking the class AND credits for the fabric used in the project if you purchased the fabric for the project from Stitchin’ Heaven.

When you graduate from SHU you not only will receive a diploma but you will also receive a bonus. Your bonus is earned by completing projects and purchasing the fabric and supplies from Stitchin’ Heaven:

20 credits - graduate & receive a $25 shopping spree
30 credits - graduate Cum Laude & receive a $50 shopping spree
40 credits - graduate Summa Cum Laude & receive a $75 shopping spree
50 credits - graduate Magna Cum Laude & receive a $100 shopping spree

A Graduation Luncheon will be held and all certificates and shopping sprees will be awarded at that time. We want you to know we appreciate your support of Stitchin’ Heaven and hope you find this program to be fun,
