This program is for you! Each month you will receive fabric AND INSTRUCTION for 10 quilt blocks. One of the difficulties with Dear Jane quilt is finding the right technique. William Morris Sampler

William Morris led the Arts and Crafts movement of the late nineteenth century. The arts and crafts movement was made up of English designers and writers who started a return to well-made, handcrafted goods as a competition to poor quality machine-made items. Morris set up his own company with fellow artists called Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co in 1861, (later just Morris & Co), which produced everything for interior decorating from furniture and textiles to wallpaper and jewelry. This beautiful quilt features blocks based on the many flowers and patterns that can be found on some of the wallpapers and textiles designed by William Morris from the 1870's to the 1890's. It is a 13 block sampler quilt, and is set on point and bordered by an ornate design. This is a project for both the beginner and advanced quilters, and the applique can be completed by hand or machine.

This quilt, made by Tutu Haynes-Smart of Cape Town, South Africa caught our eye, and we fell in love all over again with Dear Jane. She is striking in scrappy indigos, blues, and whites. So, if you're one of the many who have dreamed of making a Dear Jane, but you're just not sure about those Civil War colors, this Blue Dear Jane is for you. Just in case one of your difficulties with the Dear Jane quilt is finding the right technique, don't worry. Northern Lights

Northern Lights is a gorgeous quilt that will have you dreaming of being snuggled up on a cold, northern night. Designed by Marti Michell using an array of luscious creams and taupes, the fabrics almost blend to achieve a buttery soft, and very inviting effect. The blocks use Marti Michell's Perfect Patchwork Templates Set B & Set D, and are wonderfully sized, 16" finished blocks. Connecting the focus blocks is the Northern Lights Block, which also lends the quilt its name. The borders are basic but the fabric is not! Michael Miller's Fairy Frost fabric gives the border its own flair, and frames this quilt beautifully.

Block of the Month Quilt Program & Club Policy:

When you register for our block-of-the-month quilt programs, it is understood that you are registering for the entire program. We will abide by this policy and prepare a kit for you each month with the understanding that you will remain in the program for the duration.

We understand, however, that things happen. If something happens that causes you to need to cancel, please let us know right away! Our $25 “start fee” is applied so that we may offer you the quilt at a reasonable monthly fee without a large lump-sum payment at the end for borders, binding, etc. Should you need to cancel before the program is over, however, it is not refundable.

Afraid of mistakes? Our store is unique in that if you should make a small mistake on a particular piece of fabric you can call and request a replacement. We are happy to accommodate when fabric is available provided this policy is not abused. If you make a large mistake we usually have extra fabric available for you to purchase at a small price. Please just call and discuss it with us!
