The Quilt: Mystery on the Beach
Designed by Deb, this original quilt makes a fun weekend project. Set on point, the Union Square blocks, in bright batiks gives the quilt a wonderful contrast and the vibrant excitement of a summer day on the beach. A paper-pieced, zig-zag border really brings it together, adding interest and a finishing touch to the quilt. You'll find that the pattern, written in a "Mystery Quilt" format, is just as fun as putting it together. This is a quilt you will really enjoy! Each kit includes the pattern (including paper-pieced templates) and fabrics needed to make the quilt top including borders and binding. The finished quilt measures 70"x 70".

The Quilt: Martha Retreats to Shangri La
Martha Goes to Shangri La is Deb’s adaptation on the classic Martha Washington block. This vintage block gets a modern twist and fresh, new look. Designed specifically for her project with www.quiltgalleryshops.com, this quilt really stands out in Moda’s Shangri la fabrics. Moda has included in the Shangri-la fabric line a printed stripe on the bias that is used in the border selections and on the binding of this quilt. It is a unique print offering a bias look that is truly printed on-grain. In addition, the instructions in the pattern offer an unusual way to put together the pinwheel-in-a-square section of the block that you won’t want to miss.All in all you will find yourself with Martha when she Retreats to Shangri-la!
